The Max-D 5000 was the second largest soaker in the Max-D Series. It is the size of a light rifle, and is fairly light compared to older guns. There were several colour schemes released, with no major improvements to the gun itself. The gun based on a Pressurized Reservoir system, meaning that the reservoir holds the pressure that is required to fire the gun. The gun is decent, and is fairly simple to modify.
The major downfall of this gun is it's trigger system. The Max-D trigger is prone to breaking. The gun *might* get some extra range from the ball valve opening instantly, but the system itself is weak. The trigger relies on several springs inside the gun, and those wear down quickly. After about a year of use, my Max-D 5000 had leaking from the nozzle issues. Since I had two Max-D 5000s, I attempted to modify one of them, the older one. This failed miserably, as I did not know how to mix epoxy, and it never dried. I also later found out that the epoxy would not hold up well to pressure. Output was alright, but I was expecting more from a gun of it's size.
All in all, it's a good gun, but however, it does lack in several aspects, like the trigger valve and the output. The ranges are decent, and I would recommend this gun to anyone who is looking for the simplest of guns that has a decent range, and shot time
Pros:Good shot time, decent range, translucent reservoir.
Cons:Max-D trigger is prone to breaking, low output and capacity.
